About Sarah

Sarah's love of reading and writing started early.  She can remember using blankets to cover her reading lamp so her parents wouldn't know she was staying up into the wee hours of the morning with a particularly good Trixie Beldon book.  Sarah has always loved fantasy and science fiction, starting with C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia and George MacDonald's The Princess and the Goblins.  She memorized all the poems in Anne McCaffrey's Pern novels and started D&D with the good old boxed sets (and played well into graduate school).  Her first forays into writing were laboriously penned in blue books her dad brought home from the university--and it's just as well these were lost to history.

Sarah grew up in New Jersey and attended The College of William and Mary for a B.A., then received a M.A. and Ph.D. in Chinese from Indiana University.  She lived abroad in both China and Taiwan, and worked in the field of international education for a handful of years.  She recently moved from Oregon back to Indiana, where she's re-donned the cloak of Hoosierdom.

She lives with her two spirited children--neither of whom are werewolves--two cats, two hamsters, and five fish.
